Owners and Hosts at Albergo Hanmer:

Lindsay and Johanne (Linz n Jo) have a story to share with their guests about how they have ended up at Albergo and in Hanmer Springs. A romantic tale that draws them to the ideal that all guests should be as happy. Hanmer Springs is a town that Finds you rather than the other way around. It found Lindsay and Johanne in Mid 2008 and they started out in Motels. When Albergo was looking for a fresh owner it found Linz n Jo. With backgrounds in Customer service and Catering they bring a partnership to Albergo that encompasses all that Albergo is famous for. Great hospitality, great food, a relaxing environment for the traveler to recharge and replenish. With all that Hanmer Springs has to offer they have all the activities, massages and restaurants at their fingertips. Lindsay was born in the UK and emigrated at an early age yet still has England in his heart. He has traveled mainly around the South Pacific and along with Jo escapes to Rarotonga when they can. A passion for cooking, jazz and a stress free life he does all he can for guests to relax and enjoy their holiday. Always ready for a round of golf he will give his time freely for a guest if they wish to experience the Hanmer Springs Golf Club at the expense of all else. Johanne has run her own Bistro and brings her talents not only to the kitchen but also to the quilts and wall hangings around the Lodge. Happy to share designs, recipes and needlework techniques dont be surprised if she can be found deep in a pile of threads and fabric in the evenings. Like Linz she will organize massages Spa Treatments or any activity that takes your fancy while in Hanmer.  Lindsay and Jo actually got married at the Lodge July 24th 2011 and what a venue for such an event.

Finally there is Molly!!! She will greet you, escort you to your room and make sure you have not left any titbits after you have gone. It is advisable not to leave shoes, fluffy slippers or chocolate laying around as she will store it for you!!! Molly is well trained yet she sometimes will forget this training if you tend to make a fuss of her!
